I offer a free initial 20 minute phone or video consultation to find out more about what you are looking for and to answer any questions you may have about working together.
If you decide the fit feels right, we can set up a first appointment together. Before we begin working together, I will ask you to fill out basic paperwork which you can find here. In our first session we will discuss more about what's bringing you to therapy at this time and what you are hoping to get out of the experience. You will also get a sense of how I work and have room to ask any further questions.

Session length and frequency
Subsequent sessions are generally 50 minutes or 75 minutes in length and we will meet one or more times weekly, depending on what is needed. Once we decide to work together, your weekly time slot is reserved just for you.
I have found that the consistency of weekly sessions is ideal to allow us to get to know each other and to attend fully to what is bringing you to therapy.
I offer brief and longer-term therapy depending on what your presenting struggles are and what is needed.
Fees and Payment Information
My fee is $180 per 50 minute session.
Longer sessions are available at prorated rates.
Payment is due at the beginning of each session.
I accept cash, checks, Venmo, or Paypal.
I am personally committed to affordable counseling services. I have some sliding scale slots available in an effort to accommodate your needs based on your ability to pay. Together we can determine a fee that works for you.
Insurance
I am not currently on any insurance panels. However, many people have flexible spending accounts (FSAs) that will help with some or all of the fee. Your particular policy may also cover "out-of-network-provider" fees. I encourage you to find out if your employer or PPO has such a policy. If so, I am happy to provide you with all relevant documentation to help recoup those fees.
Here are some helpful questions to ask to determine if you have mental health coverage through your insurance carrier:
What are my mental health benefits?
What is the coverage amount per therapy session?
How many therapy sessions does my plan cover?
How much does my insurance pay for an out-of-network provider?
Is approval required from my primary care physician?
Please be aware that not all conditions or concerns are covered by insurance and there can be advantages to paying out-of-pocket for psychotherapy. It gives us more control and flexibility over how often we schedule our sessions, what we work on, and how long we work together. It also keeps the issues we work on out of your medical records.
