Online Offerings

Due to COVID-19 and a commitment to protecting everyone’s health and safety all my therapeutic offerings are online at this moment until further notice. I am temporarily offering video and telephone sessions to both new and existing clients, and expanding my hours to accommodate an increased need for flexibility and care.

We are living through a unique moment in time, and I will continue to do my best to support you through it.

Teletherapy

I offer therapy via a secure video platform to clients anywhere in California. This is a great option for anyone who is unable to access in-person therapy for a variety of reasons including immune compromised, mobility, convenience, living in rural areas, or a lack of an appropriate specialist in your area.

Individual Therapy

I call upon a range of theories and modalities including: Trauma, Attachment, Multicultural, Relational, Gestalt, Psychodynamic, Buddhist psychology, Eco-psychology, Dance/Movement, Mindfulness and Somatic modalities.

My therapeutic approach is flexible, creative, and collaborative. Together we will identify your goals and the approach that works best for you.

I specialize in supporting people dealing with:

  • Enhancing a sense of self and personal empowerment

  • Feelings of depression and disconnection

  • Healing family of origin (attachment) wounds

  • Healing from grief and heartbreak

  • Life transitions

  • Relationships and Intimacy

  • Self-identity within a socio/political/cultural context

  • Support in self-regulation and greater vitality

  • Stress management, anxiety, and overwhelm

  • Seeking purpose and direction

  • Sexuality and Libido

  • Trauma resolution

Therapy In Motion

All my therapeutic offerings can include the opportunity for Dance and Movement. I draw on over a decade of studies in conscious dance forms including 5Rhythms, Soul Motion, and Open Floor. In Therapy in Motion, I bring movement practice to already existing psychotherapeutic approaches for individual or small group work.

I integrate relational approaches, attachment theory and practice, trauma work, emotions and cognition into an embodied movement exploration for richer therapeutic outcomes.

In our work together, we focus on:

  • Developing (and deepening) embodied presence

  • Using Core Movement Resources as interventions and support

  • Expanding capacity across channels of perception: sensory, emotional, cognitive, spatial, relational, etc.

  • Growing skills for embodied attunement and co-regulation in the therapeutic relationship

The body says what the words cannot.

Nature Connection

Many studies help to demonstrate the positive effects of nature on both physical and mental health. I offer the option of working together out of the office, and away from the screen, in a natural environment. Being in nature innately creates a greater sense of ease and relaxation, and provides a wider range of possibilities for embodying, expressing, and resourcing yourself.

During our session, I’ll respectfully guide you to connect your inner process with the resources that are available in the natural world. I may invite you to find an aspect of nature that mirrors your challenge and explore what this offers. As you engage with your internal experiences and the natural world, new insights begin to unfold.
